You receive a 12 oz. bottle. Made in USA.

Carol's Daughter Groove Fragrance Notes:
  • Sweet, heavenly and warm style.
  • A seductive flow of red currant and sugared dewberries, embraced by decadent nuances of Tahitian vanilla, cocoa and rich musk.

I bought this body oil at Sephora a long time ago, but never really got the chance to use it. Recently I digged it out again and wanted to give it some recognition it deserves. It is made with sweet almond oil, soybea oil, corn oil, avocado oil, jojoba seed oil and wheat oil with fragrance. The directions say that it can be used for baths, or after baths or shower to be applied directly onto skin or as a massage oil. Personally I find that it is very useful for baths and the smell is very aromatic, warm, sweek and musky for use of massages. But the consistency is quick thick and hard to spread out, so I would not recommend applying it directly onto skin as it can take a long time for it to spread and sink in, and the smell would be too overwhelming. But as a bath oil and mssage oil, the smell is very nice and it adds a little moisurizing properties to my super hot baths which tends to dry me out. The oil itself though can be replaced, so if you like this particular smell then it might be worth repurchasing. Otherwise, there are a lot more oils out there for us ladies to use and test new scents! But I do like the smell, and I got it on sale for I think.. little less than $10? So that was worth it. See if you can catch Carol's Daughter's products on sale!

Product Review: Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturizer SPF 6

What it claims to be: An extraordinary, 24-hour intensive moisturizer for normal and dry skin, Wild Rose has a rich, yet light texture and a unique blossom scent, plus whitening wild rose oil and an SPF 6 to help prevent brown spots caused by sun damage.

My thoughts on:

Texture - Lives up to the cream tag, it is creamy but not oily. Fairly smooth and easy to spread. Does not leave greasy film.

SPF - SP6 is surprising low and is not effective against the sun, especially the burning rays where I live. I prefer SPF 15+ for my moisturizers.

Fragrance - It does contains fragrance, which is not surprising. The scent is very nice and reminds me of rose and jasmine. Although if you are prone to irrations from fragrance you might want to get a sample from Sephora first. I do think it is a very pleasant smell and it does lingers for maybe half an hour or so but then it fades away.

Price - It is $35 for 1.4oz, which in my book is fairly expensive. But that's just me, a college student. I do find that its effects are very much well paired with the price. I would repurchase when I run out.

Experience - Almost immediately after I put this on my face feels very smooth to the touch, and it stays that way even after my shower in the morning. Compared to certain products that only smoothes out my face when it is ON, it does work on my skin. I've noticed a fair bit of lightening of my acne scars on the top of my forehead after 2-3 weeks of usage. I find that it brightened my overall complexion very nice and it is very pleasant to put on because it smells so divine. It moisturizes my dry cheeks very very well and does not leave a greasy film, just a very velvety feel to my face. With the low SPF provided I use it as a night cream, not 24 hours. But because it is a creamy product I would stick to using it as a night cream regardless of the SPF.

Overall: I would repurchase this product if I run out. But for now it is my holy grail night cream along with the serum in the same line. It is a very moisturizing cream and does fulfill its claims.

Product Review: Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

So while walking down the makeup aisle at Wal-Mart one night with 2 of my friends, I happened to come across the new Maybelline Fit Me! Collection. Maybelline advertised this line as the products that would "let the real you come through"Maybelline claims that this concealer can cover spots, blemishes and dark circles seamlessly. There are 6 shades total for the concealers and the shade numbers correlate to the foundation shades so you can find your matches more easily. That is if you want to use both the foundation and concealer of course. I bought the concealer in #10, which is a fair, pale beige color to me. Really I don't believe that 18 shades or 6 shades can fit everyone of us, but luckily for me, this color does suit my skin tone. I would say it is a normal consistency for a liquid ocncealer. It comes in a tube with a doe foot application which i find is very convenient. The clear tube also let you see how much product is left. I find that this concealer covers my dark circles and acne spots pretty well. And my acne spots are dark brown, on my light skin-.- Definitely not a sight that I like to see. The wearing time though, does need improvement. I find that it lasts about 2 to 3 hours then it would wear off but given the coverage and price, I wouldn't mind reapplying throughout the day.  It does cover my acne marks, the redness that I have from squeezing my pimples(i know i know), and my dark circles(VERY easy to blend, does not settle into creases). Overall I'd give this concealer a 4/5. Definitely worth trying out!

a blog, finally.

Ok. I know I jumped on the boat a decade after everyone else did, but I'm finally starting a blog=) What have I been doing this past decade? Just reading other people's blogs and reaping their reviews and thoughts on things(mostly makeup related.) There is actually something that I want to blog about for once because, I simply can't find anyone blogging about it! I hope that this blog helps some of us out there on make up, beauty, life, or whatever you can think of!
